A Decade of the Directory of Illustration

In the last decade, I have experienced the true meaning of teamwork with a group of exceptional people as we’ve collaborated on each year’s Directory of Illustration.

Ten years ago, I began contracting with Serbin Creative to produce the Directory of Illustration 29. Now, in 2021, the Directory of Illustration 38 is just about to be published. One of this year’s World Illustration Awards winners, Fatinha Ramos, created the art for this iteration, and it is sure to please. I don’t want to ruin the visual surprise, so this is all I’ll say for now!

I’m proud to be a member of the Serbin Creative team producing advertising directories for the world’s best artistic talent. It’s no accident that the top illustrators and artist representatives rely on the Directory of Illustration as their top marketing venue.

Throughout the past decade of working on the Directory of Illustration, each book has been better than the last and has evolved with production processes and software, ensuring high-quality printing results. I’ve genuinely enjoyed working with all of the incredible artists to showcase their work in the best light, and we’ve seen these talented creators continue to thrive and produce even during the pandemic.

Along with the entire team, I work hard every step of the way to provide a high-quality printed book that accurately represents the artists’ work with the best color reproductions possible. We all take as much pride in producing each year’s directory as the artists do with their intricate illustrations and designs.

Every time a box of advance copies arrives, it’s like opening a long-awaited gift! There are only a couple of weeks left to wait for the Directory of Illustration 38, and I’m excited to hold the final book in my hands.

I can’t wait to see what next year’s directory will bring!
