NYC Big Book Award 2021 Winner: Eagle vs Bear

I’m thrilled to announce that Eagle vs Bear is a 2021 winner of the NYC Big Book Award, in the category of Children’s Fiction.

This book has been a labor of absolute love from author Emile Millar, illustrator Blayne Fox, musician Dancing Eagle, and me. I am so proud that this interactive story is getting recognition for its ability to take kids on a beautiful journey, all while teaching them lessons of triumph over adversity, conflict resolution, and believing in oneself.

Filled with thoughtful music and stunning illustrations, this book is an incredible example of the future of 21st-century learning. We’ve paired it with helpful lesson plans and hope that parents and schools can use it to create an engaged classroom and happy students.
